Educational work

The academic teaching staff of the department has been conducting educational work with students of the Faculty of Dentistry for several years.

In the 2025-2026 academic year, the department mentors 5th-year students, and in 2021-22, 2nd- year students.

The priority areas of educational work of the department staff are:
• Preservation and enhancement of the University traditions, promotion of its history, symbols, and values
• Promoting anti-corruption thinking, healthy lifestyle, patriotism, and universal culture among students
• Conducting prophylactic work to prevent extremism, terrorism and the spread of destructive religious movements among students
• Organization and holding of cultural events of civic-patriotic, spiritual and moral nature
• Organization of events to prevent religious extremism, delinquency among student youth and combat corruption
• Fostering a positive attitude towards socially useful work, involving students in volunteer activities and charity;

An integral part of the departments work is the implementation of events educating about first aid in the fight against caries within the framework of "Bolashaqqa sau tіspen": round tables, field trips to schools and an Open Day.

The departments teaching staff and students held and participated in competitions, olympiads, and scientific conferences led by our professor G.T. Ermukhanova.

In 2023, grants were awarded for two projects: " Tauelcizdik urpaktari " (Agreement No. 24 dated 25.12.2023, grant from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan), and a 3-year scientific and technological progress program for 2024-2026. "Jas galim" (Agreement No. 159/Ж5-24-26 dated 20 June 2024). Within the framework of these projects, a block of studies is being carried out to study the effectiveness of non-invasive methods for treating initial forms of dental caries in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
