Research work of the Department of the History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of KazNMU. S.D. Asfendiyarova is one of the most promising and socially significant processes.

This activity contributes to the development of the humanities, being the only humanitarian and ideological chair of the university, it plays a key role in the formation of the personality of the university student, the future scholar of the imedicine worker.

The department constantly updates the educational and methodological base, the teaching staff of the department is published in foreign scientific publications, editions of the RK and CIS countries. Scientific works are aimed at studying the history and philosophy of medicine, social and political analysis of the development of this industry.

The level of teaching is provided by the preparedness of the teaching staff: 7 candidates of sciences work at the department, 1 PhD doctor, 3 teachers of the department are trained in doctoral studies.

Scientific researches of teachers are actively introduced into the educational process, scientific and practical conferences are held every year.
