The department is located on 5 clinical bases: the surgical department of the dental clinic of KazNMU, city clinical hospital №5, Almaty multidisciplinary clinical hospital, Institute of Oncology and Radiology (department of head and neck tumors), military clinical hospital of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Students of the 3rd, 4th and 5th courses of the Faculty of Dentistry, representing all regions of the republic, study here. 1 PhD doctoral student, 5 undergraduates are studying. 2 undergraduates successfully completed their studies with the defense of a master’s thesis.

The team successfully implements new technologies in the educational process at the School of Dentistry of KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarova. Innovative interactive teaching methods have been introduced, such as a problem lecture, a lecture with pre-planned mistakes, business games, brainstorming, work in small groups, etc., over the past 5 years, 24 introductions to the educational process have been framed. To ensure the clarity of teaching at the department, a rich fund of illustrative material has been created: graphological structures, thematic albums, instructional videos and films, dummies, sets of photographs and radiographs, macrodrugs of distant formations.
