The research activities of the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry focus on current issues in the diagnosis and prosthetic treatment of dental diseases, as well as the development and implementation of modern materials, digital technologies, and methods of dental implantation.<\/p>\n
During the 2025\u20132026 academic year, the Department\u2019s research capacity comprised 19 full-time faculty members, including professors, a Doctor of Medical Sciences, Candidates of Medical Sciences, PhD holders, and master\u2019s degree holders. Young researchers, residents, and students also participate in the Department\u2019s research activities.<\/p>\n
One of the Department\u2019s applied research areas is the study of locally manufactured dental materials. Research findings concerning the use of STOMET 1 KZ, STOMET 2 KZ, and STOMET 3 KZ alloys in prosthetic dentistry have been implemented at the Classic Dent, Baizak Smile Dent, and Ni Dental clinical facilities. The implementation of these findings is confirmed by the relevant official records.<\/p>\n
During the reporting period, Department faculty published research on clinical complications associated with fixed dental prostheses; the antibacterial properties of titanium implants with nanostructured coatings; the use of artificial intelligence in dental education and prosthetic dentistry; innovative technologies and the clinical manifestations of bruxism; the use of removable dental prostheses; the accuracy of surgical implant placement; the effectiveness of occlusal splints in temporomandibular joint disorders; and new methods for assessing resistance to dental caries.<\/p>\n
The research findings were presented in national and international publications and in the proceedings of international scientific conferences and professional forums. Several papers were prepared jointly with healthcare practitioners and international colleagues.<\/p>\n
The Department organises scientific conferences, seminars, and master classes. During the 2025\u20132026 academic year, activities covered digital dentistry, the organisation of digital dental laboratories, the use of artificial intelligence and PrograMill PM7 equipment, modern dental materials, and innovative technologies in prosthetic dentistry.<\/p>\n
Department faculty presented their research findings at the 14th International Scientific and Practical Conference \u201cPriorities of Pharmacy and Dentistry: From Theory to Practice,\u201d the international \u201cANaMed Forum \u2013 New Generation 2026,\u201d and other scientific events held in Kazakhstan and abroad.<\/p>\n
Department faculty received university and national awards for their professional, research, and teaching achievements. B.Zh. Nysanova received the university medal \u201cBest Teacher.\u201d M.B. Tleshev received a national diploma in the category \u201cFor Contribution to Healthcare.\u201d<\/p>\n
