During the 2025-2026 academic year, the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry provided mentoring support to first-year students. Each academic group was assigned a faculty mentor.
The main objectives were to help first-year students adapt to university life and to promote civic responsibility, patriotism, professional ethics, a healthy lifestyle, legal awareness, and an anti-corruption culture.
The Department conducted educational and mentoring activities in the following areas:
- presentations, round-table discussions, and mentoring sessions dedicated to the Day of the State Language;
- challenges and video materials marking the Republic Day of Kazakhstan;
- meetings and round-table discussions dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- educational visits to theatres, the conservatory, the KazNMU Concordia Theatre, and museums;
- participation in university and citywide events;
- the Mercy charity campaign and support for veterans;
- preventive discussions on the harmful effects of smoking and drug use, participation in sporting events, and promotion of a healthy lifestyle;
- activities aimed at preventing religious extremism and terrorism and promoting tolerance;
- events dedicated to Nauryz, the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, and Defender of the Fatherland Day;
- meetings with Department veterans and distinguished representatives of the dental profession;
- mentoring sessions on anti-corruption awareness, academic integrity, the Code of Honour, and transparency of examinations;
- visits to student dormitories and individual meetings with first-year students;
- scientific seminars, conferences, and subject Olympiads aimed at encouraging student research.
Faculty members and academic group mentors participated in organising these activities. The coordinator responsible for educational activities at the Department was Taupyk N.., Master of Health Sciences and Associate Professor.
