Clinical work

The clinical activities of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry are carried out at the School of Dentistry in Rooms 103, 104, and 105, Building No. 3, located at 543 Seifullin Street, at the intersection with 92 Tole Bi Street (entrance from Seifullin Street).
Patients are seen Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., by prior appointment and on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Department provides consultation, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental conditions in children and adolescents in the following areas: pediatric restorative dentistry, diseases of the oral mucosa in children, prevention of dental diseases, and pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery.
A particular focus of the Department’s clinical activities is the provision of dental care for children with special educational and healthcare needs, including children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). A specialized dental office is available for these patients, providing an adapted environment for preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures while taking into account each child’s individual behavioral and sensory needs.
The Department applies modern innovative and non-invasive approaches to the prevention and management of early carious lesions, aimed at maximizing the preservation of dental hard tissues and reducing the need for invasive dental procedures. Clinical practice includes methods for the early detection of carious lesions, remineralization therapy, resin infiltration techniques, and contemporary caries-prevention strategies.
Particular attention is given to helping children adapt to dental visits, developing a positive attitude toward oral hygiene, and improving adherence to preventive measures among children and their parents or caregivers.
The Department also offers consultations with professors and leading specialists in the diagnosis, differential diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of oral mucosal diseases in children and adolescents, including complex and diagnostically challenging clinical cases.
Patient care is provided by Department staff alongside their teaching activities. The allocated appointment time is 1 hour and 15 minutes per patient, including 40 minutes for treatment and preventive procedures, 20 minutes for operatory disinfection and preparation, and 15 minutes for completing medical documentation.
